The NSW Harness Racing Industry Standardbred Re-Homing Company Ltd is a newly established program that endeavours to prolong the lives of our beloved Standardbred.

Our goal is to act as a stepping stone in providing the Standardbreds of the Industry with a new lease on life, once their careers on the track come to an end.

We have teamed up with a number of re-training facilities around New South Wales to ensure that your retired steeds are well-cared-for during and after their transition into life after racing.

If you have a Standardbred who is ready to leave its racing career behind, then fill out and lodge the forms below or contact us today.

We are always looking for new facilities, so if you are experienced in re-training horses and would like to join the team, register below!

The NSW Standardbred Re-Homing Company would also like to thank Marissa Dimarco from Osborn Law for her wonderful assistance with all company documentation.

3yo 16hh Bay Gelding

Sire: CaptainTreacherous

Dam: Fight For Me (Life Sign USA)

Race Stats: UNRACED

Hugh is a special one, folks...

One of the most impeccably bred horses we have had through the program, and one of the first CaptainTreacherous offspring in Australia do be put under saddle. Hugh needed a slow, soft approach to his re-education, and therefore has been with us for a few months. He is a quirky, sensitive boy but is just beyond handsome and is now ready to find his perfect partner. He is beautifully built and strong, and has all the makings of a sensational performance horse. This boy is going to make someone incredibly lucky.

As a youngster, they did discover that he had retained a testicle, and he underwent surgery to have it successfully removed. He displays no colty behaviour whatsoever, but he does need an experienced, competent rider as he is a little bit different.

POA. Located Medowie, NSW.

8yo 15.1hh Black/Brown Gelding

Sire: Art Colony USA

Dam: No Malice Alice (Chip off the Block USA)

Race Stats: 112: 8-12-18

There's not a Malicious bone in his body! Fella is super refined, super fancy, and super sweet. Would easily hold his own in the hack ring with the right person, but equally happy out on trails and swimming in the river!

He is a slightly nervous type, so not for beginners, but once he trusts his person he will try his heart out.

POA. Located Sydney.

3yo approx 14.3hh bay/brown mare

Sire: Grinfromeartoear USA

Dam: Gloria Lombo (Jet Laag)

Race Stats: 2:0-0-0

Little Lou has the looks and potential for a successful future show career. Super refined, pocket-sized, and showing some ability over a fence, she would make a fabulous addition to a competitive/performance stable.

Lou is going kindly under saddle, but she does require a competent, confident rider as she is quite forward and sensitive.

POA. Located Medowie.
